After a 1-4 start, the Eagles have won their past six straight games.Ellsworth is now ranked ninth in the Class B standings.This week, Ellsworth (7-4) beat John Bapst (3-9) on Tuesday, Caribou (4-6) twice in Saturday’s doubleheader and Hermon (4-5) on Thursday.Ellsworth 11, John Bapst 1This is placeholder textThis is placeholder textBrad Smith pitched a three-hitter and struck out four to lead Ellsworth past John Bapst at home on Tuesday.Conor Maguire led the Ellsworth offense with two singles. Nicholas Bagley, Mitch Domagala, Griffin Nightingale and Devin Wright added a hit apiece.Ellsworth 2, Caribou 1 and Ellsworth 2, Caribou 0 (doubleheader)Nicholas Bagley threw a complete game, scattering six hits and striking out seven to propel Ellsworth by Caribou in the first game of Saturday’s home doubleheader.Alex Braley paced Ellsworth with two singles and an RBI. Bagley, Zach McGraw and Mitch Domagala each added two singles.In the second game, Charlie Libby threw just 61 pitches to earn the complete-game win.Libby allowed just two hits and struck out three. McGraw and Domagala had two singles each for Ellsworth. Conor Maguire, Grffin Nightingale and Chris Barnes each singled.Ellsworth 10, Hermon 4Conor Maguire scattered six hits, struck out seven on the mound and posted a double and a single to lead Ellsworth to a home victory on Thursday.Avery Anderson hit a triple and two singles for Ellsworth. Griffin Nightingale tripled and singled and Nicholas Bagley singled twice.GSA 11, Orono 5George Stevens Academy (9-1) beat Orono (5-5) on Monday at home.GSA remains in first place in the Class C standings.Searsport 11, Sumner 1Searsport (7-1) notched 13 hits en route to a home win over Sumner (1-7) on Saturday.Brock Frye, Jacob Shorey and Brandon Grinnan each singled for Sumner.Orono 12, Sumner 2Orono jumped out to an early lead on Sumner en route to a home win on Friday.Bucksport 17, Sumner 0Bucksport (7-3) won at Sumner on Wednesday.Bucksport remains in second place in the Class C standings.
