first_imgNewsGardaí investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred outside Ennis todayBy Staff Reporter – October 28, 2019 682 Advertisement Email WhatsApp Twitter ENNIS Gardaí are investigating a two-vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Cahercallamore, Ennis this afternoon, Monday 28th October, 2019 at approximately 2.30p.m.Gardaí and Emergency services attended the scene of a serious collision involving two cars at the Cahercallamore location.Sign up for the weekly Limerick Post newsletter Sign Up A male rear passenger (early 80’s) was removed to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries and passed away later today.  The female driver and front-seat passenger were also treated at University Hospital Limerick with non-life-threatening injuries.In the second car both the male driver and female passenger were uninjured.The scene was preserved and Garda forensic collision investigators have completed their examination. The road was closed and has since reopened.Gardaí at Ennis are appealing for any witnesses to this road traffic collision to come forward, particularly any motorists who were travelling in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage.
